The Regina Soccer Referees Association (RSRA) is an organization separate from the Regina Soccer Association (RSA). RSRA provides officials for the games of the Regina Soccer Association under contract. The RSRA also provides referees to other soccer organizations such as the high schools for their leagues, the University of Regina for the programs they provide, to the Saskatchewan Soccer Association for their provincial tournaments and programs, and to clubs organizing sanctioned tournaments. Referees are governed by their organization, the Saskatchewan Soccer Association, the Canadian Soccer Association, and ultimately by FIFA, who manage and maintain the Laws of the Game. Lodging Complaints Referees are people too!! Just as any player, coach, or fan is not perfect, neither are referees. Referees, just like the rest of the participants, are constantly learning and applying their knowledge to the Game and the Laws of the Game. However, there may be times where situations warrant the lodging of a complaint pertaining to a game, or a game official. As stated in our organization’s Constitution and By-Laws, “In order to be valid, any complaint concerning a referee or assistant referee must be forwarded in writing to the Secretary of the ASSOCIATION within ten (10) days of the incident occurring.” This can be done by sending the written request to the association address shown above. When received, the complaint will be reviewed and sent to our Discipline Committee. The Discipline Committee has jurisdiction over our members and can impose sanctions against a member should the situation warrant it. The complete Discipline Code is listed above on our web page. Complaints received beyond the ten day time limitation will not be accepted.
