Where is the revenue from registration fees and facility admissions allocated to?

The Regina Soccer Association is committed to the principles of transparency and openness in all of our dealings with our members and stakeholders.  Regina Soccer, it's board, executive and management, encourage all members to be aware of the financial condition of their organization.

Financial Statements for the past 10 fiscal years are available by clicking here. Any questions regarding the information contained within the above webpage and the associated documents may be directed to the Executive Director, Regina Soccer Association, at 306-352-8040.

What is the RSA Cup (Youth) – how is it different from League play?

In the Youth League, the League Champion is considered the “City Champion”.  The RSA Cup gives each team an additional opportunity to compete for the “RSA Cup Champion” title!!

The first round games and byes are determined by a random draw of all teams in the division.  Depending on the number of league games in the division, the first round  games may also be league games (marked on schedule).  In these cases, the score used in league standings will be the score prior to any overtime.

Only teams awarded a win in the first round will advance to the next round.  Games in all rounds are determined by a random draw of teams remaining.

If two teams are tied in any game, over time procedure is two 5 minute halves with the first goal scored determining the winner.  If still tied at the end of overtime, game will advance to a shoot out.

Why do I have to pay to watch soccer in the indoor facility?

Admissions revenues are a critical component of facility operations and are currently required in order to balance the facility budget. All admission revenues go to support the soccer facility.

When the turf is in place, the Credit Union EventPlex is operated by The Regina Soccer Association (RSA), a non-profit organization. The RSA is comprised of AC Football Club, Queen City United Soccer Club, RE United Soccer Club, UCT Soccer Club, Triangle Soccer Association and Adult Team Representatives. In these cases, the clubs and teams that you play within are partners in the indoor facility.

Admissions revenues go towards:
Operating costs of the facility: rental payments to the Regina Exhibition Association, utilities, repairs, equipment, labour, insurance, etc. Improvements to the soccer facility and further development of additional future facilities. City of Regina Ice Arenas receive significant annual operating subsidies from property tax levies. The Regina Soccer Association DOES NOT receive support from taxation.

On duty Staff and Attendants are carrying out their instructed duties and are not responsible for setting the policy.

Why are there breaks in my indoor schedule?

The Regina Soccer Association rents the Credit Union EventPlex from Evraz Place.  At the beginning of the season we are given "block-out dates" in which Evraz Place has use of the facility.  These block-outs usually take place in November (Agribition) and February.

In the Adult Co-ed League, there are additional breaks as the RSA hosts two Adult Tournaments, three Youth Tournaments and Provinicials during the indoor season!  Take advantage of the weekend off and come check out some exciting games and support soccer in Regina!
